fairies

by emma stiches - Cancer

Fairies 6/23/99 (while in Europe.)

I lay here with my eyes
Wide shut.

Blood clot, blood shot,
I can’t tell.

Fairies dance in my head
Over a kind of pond.

The come out from the woods
So all of the sudden.

And I won’t cry,
They whisper in my ears.

They tell me of their love,
They laugh.

They want me to come with them,
To their love.

If only they knew,
No one will ever love me.

They are pretty on the outside,
Ugly, ugly in the head.

Reason for writing:

i looked to the black forest in germany and this is what i felt. i looked to the alpen in innsbruck and this is how i revised. i looked to the sea at normandy and wrote nothing.
