It starts off in a river, lake or sea, And rises up in droplets, Smaller than the eye can see. They form clouds, Which travel for miles, And wipe away a lot of happy smiles. For the children can't go out and play, On a rainy summers day. All they can do is watch the rain, Pit-a-pat pat on the window pane.
