Emeralds Born of Eternal Fire In the beginning of time there was light, a light born of the womb of the Goddess. Conceived from darkness, the God, this Light was eternal. Within the Light the Powers manifested. From the Light was born Air, from Air, Fire, from Fire, Earth, from Earth, Water and from all of these Spirit was born. Willed by the Great Polar Powers these elements are the ingredients of creation. Everything is made of the Powers. Every inanimate object to every creature. People are the most powerful creations. The strongest mixture of the Powers lies within mankind. We are the elements in their most raw form. Powerful and weak. Some of us are different. Less of a mixture, and more like one Great Power. You are one of the unique. When the Goddess made you She made you all Fire. Quick to consume yet easy to put out. She forged your eyes of emeralds and cast them into this great Fire. Faerie Fire of the most fearsome kind. Your eyes crackle and sparkle with the eternal Fire that drives all. Emeralds born of eternal Fire do not dispaire. Do not be quick to die. Water is so easy to give into. But don't you see? Yours is the fire that drives all. Emeralds born of eternal fire do not blink, do not close, do not go blind. Emeralds born of eternal Fire please don't cry. Who has seen Fire cry? I have, and I fear it. My dear Emeralds don't let your inspiring light become melancholy. I will be your shield against Air and Water. Nothing shall consume your wondrous flare as long as I am here. For if your Fire goes out there will be one less beautiful light in this world. My Spirit who is drawn to your Fire like a suicidal moth to a flame. Will surely die a slow death if the Fire, which lies behind your Emerald eyes, is snuffed out. Dear Emeralds born of eternal Fire please don't cry…. ***Note: I do not know any Pagan creation myths. This is just my own personal myth.
