West of Oblivion

by J James - Pisces

her dysfunctions were homegrown
but she stands alone
on her own two feet
since defeat stole her crutches
a long time ago
she'd been beaten with despair
as long as she can remember being...
a "lost cause"
so she tossed her insecurities
out with the backswing
got her things and headed
west of oblivion
no more disappointment
no more prejudgement
of catastrophe to come
she's now numb to
what falls through the cracks
of her foundation
in herself she found
imacipation from the
slave-drivers of her heart
she was once torn apart
by petty conversation about
things irrelavent to the problem
"dont you understand
the anger i sift through
for the answer to my
violent silent prayers..."
now all her cares have subsided
and all her candles are lighted
for the festively unfortunate
she left behind

Reason for writing:

eh just a lil inspirational thingy-jig
