Night

by Kristina Harris - Aries

To dance with the sunset,
with youth's bright red wings..
we can fly through the bushes.
til' morning she rings.

While night's dirty blanket
shall hide all the blue..
we'll be laughing and dancing.
with my mind at my shoe..
I'll kick it and stomp
on my reason and worries..
to forget all the hassles
of everyday life..
and saunter on footsteps
so youthful and light.

Oh sheild me sweet darkness.
Your cloak I hold dear.
I forget all the silence,
forget all the tears.
And play me a song..
throught the cricket's great voices.
Their orchestra's playing for me.

Touch me with your breezes,
so light and arousing.
I feel like I'm drowning
in terminal bliss.
Goodnight little cricket..
thank you for your music.
I shall sleep to the tune
of the shadowy night..
and forget all my troubles.
in the absence of light.

Reason for writing:

I like the beauty of night as well as day.
