I can tell by your expression that you are most upset. It's the worse that I have seen you ever since the day we met. But, there's something in my life that I sure regret, and every day, it's on my mind I just can't forget ! ! It's hard to understand it, but, I hope that you will try. Just let me hold your hand, dear, and please, try not to cry. The girl that left the house today and came into your view, It's so hard to talk about it... I never mentioned her to you. The girl that left the house today, is my own dear girl, She's the only daughter that I have in this whole wide world. But, when we got married I started all "anew." Reason for writing:
This is a "hypothetical" situation....but, it could have very well have happened...and probably has to some people...I have a daughter that I would love to see....she does not want to see me........This poem was written several years ago.
