The Fool Who Ruined Valentines Day

by Erica Hughes - Libra

It was a snowy valentine's day,
in my little town,
balloons and flowers,
in the hands of girls,
all around,
their glees of laughter, and feet off
ground,
as I stood in the shadows,
with my face in a frown.
There would be no love for me,
on this red day,
because a fool, took it away.
With his wilted flowers,
and crooked smile.
he promised his love,
to all the women he found.
Nothing for me,
but words of jest,
not even a heart,
in his scrawny chest.
All he had to offer
he hid in his vest,
it was filled with chocolate,
and lies to confess.

All he could give me,
was a candy hug,
that cost him less than ten dollars,
and was absent of love.

Reason for writing:

VALENTINE'S DAY STINKS! IT IS A FATTENING, STUPID DAY. I AM SPECIAL EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR, AND I DON'T NEED ONE FUNKY DAY TO TELL ME THAT I AM LOVED BY SOMEONE. THIS IS MY SEVENTH OFFICIAL VALENTINE'S DAY STRIKE. AND I STILL THINK ROMANTIC LOVE STINKS!!!! ==Come on with the comments, I'd love to hear them whether you like this one or not! I promise I won't bite!!!
