Have you ever seen a stone of jade? The colour, the beauty, will not fade. Round, smooth, deep and sparkling bright, full of secrets and memories to light. Her eyes are made from this coloured stone, full of wisdom that is hers alone. She sees the world from a light green gaze, images and dreams swirled in a daze. This green eyed girl will sometimes glide past, and soft warmth of colour will she cast. You wonder what stories the stones hide, beneath the rings that glare so wide. You wonder who is this green eyed shade? Is she a ghost that I have made? Or maybe a dream, small as a pearl, my little sister, the green eyed girl.
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem about the beauty of my little sister's bright green eyes and what hides beneath them. I wanted to express her inner and outer beauty.
