No conversation can be carried Without argument whatsoever, I try to remain steadfastly calm, But he seems to pull my lever, No compromise allowed For there's always friction there, But there's a little one on the way And this repulsive behavior wouldn't be fair. We don't talk often enough And when we do, we seem to fight, Something in this painted picture Just doesn't seem quite right. I called to attempt some form of agreement, And he asked if I called to instigate, Once again I tried to explain But we got into a huge debate. Seriously, we need to get along, Even if it's only for the sake of our son, How do we accomplish this When we dispute through every discussion?
Reason for writing:
The father of my unborn and I always seem to bicker even
though we don't talk that often. I can't stand it
but I don't know how to explain to him that I don't want
to fight any more. If I were to call I'm afraid it'll just
fuel the fire. I don't want my son to have to deal with
this, it's just not right to put him through it. So we
desperately need to reach some form of agreement before
he's born. I'm just unsure how to go about it.
