I realize you and I could never be.
Someone like you couldn't want someone like me.

I am not the one you should love.
I am not the one your dreams are made of.

Though I wish on a star each and every night.
That some day, might,

mean something to you.
Though, I know it won't come true.

So as each day passes by and by,
I snap into realty and try not to cry.

No matter how much I long to be with you,
I realize I could never do.
