The history of the becoming of nothing

by Reggie - Leo

Sinister nothings surround me,
encompassed by rage I am nothing,
am I the butterfly or am it's dream?

The power of hate has driven me
through all the lands I have never seen

The blank walls won't tell any answers I need.

I feel I'm the dream of a child
lost in a sea of denial.

This candy for my brain puts all my actions on trial.

In the dream of this child I see
you through his eyes, full of innocent wonder
as you peacefully slumber.

Soon this dream became a nightmare though,
through my enraged throes I saw the truth in me.

You see the darkness from within
darkness of my sins.

Reason for writing:

As I reread this poem it seems to be about an unrequited love.
I make references to some things I did during that same period.
