Sorrow

by Kelly Hamrick - Gemini

When you told me we were through
the shock grew
I finally said goodbye
to the voice on the line
and curled up in my bed
and cried all night through
I dreamed you still loved me
the way you used to
and I awakened thinking you did
and sorrow filled the room
I remembered so clearly
the words you said
I respected you decision
when you said you weren't sure
but I have feelings
and a breakable heart
The day drug on
till it came to an end
until I awaked tomorrow
and once again
the sorrow begins

Reason for writing:

this poem was written right after the guy that I fell in love with broke up with me, and it was what i was feeling at that exact time, so i wrote down what i felt, and made a poem out of it
