The Doings of My Heart

by Elizabeth DeCarte - Scorpio

Why do you love me so?
What do I do to make your heart yearn for me such as it does?
You have never met me, atleast not in person, and yet you have fallen in love with me;
With the words that I type to you every starlit night
What have I done to deserve a love such as yours?
So perfect, so sweet, so incredibly seductive...
And yet, what is it that makes me so attracted to you?
Is it the long talks of a life yet to be?
Is it your way of making me laugh after such a hard day?
Or is it the way that just by talking to you, you make me the happiest girl in the entire world;
That all my problems seem to float off into the winds whenever I hear you say my name
I yearn for the touch of your smooth skin...
Your forbidden lips...
The sight of your smile...
I yearn for the day when our love has come to be.
Yet why the name love?
How does such a powerful emotion get but a miniscure title?
For that is what it is-
A strong, stead-fast pulse invigorating through the senses as one travels through an entirely different frame of consciousness
An abstract world of desire and fantasy yet warmth and tenderness mixed into one
But to say in three simple words,
The craving of my heart that has me in a complete trance,
The three words of but an out-of-reach hope...
I love you, for now and for always.
