A presence has bound me It has surrounded me It Enlightens everything To the depths of my being It sends me on rockets Up to the sky To blast into Heaven With stars going by But yet theres a peace A feeling of love A feeling of excitement, Dread, and above There's to much to consider There's to much to say To much, To little I don't know the way Though I'm safe in this presence I'm confused by it all To feel something new Is hard once it falls Guide me, Oh guide me Great God above This gift you have given Fits like a glove But sometimes I'm worried It'll fall off my hand Shred on the ground And secrete in the sand But I'm not so concerned Just suprised by the feel Of something so srtong And secretly real But the only truth I know Is it started with you Thank you my darling Thank God for you!
Reason for writing:
I just started going out with someone very special to me, and the next morning, the day felt different. This poem is an attempt to descibe the feeling I had.
