Strawberry Sonnet

by Brian Buchanan - Scorpio

Strawberries are sweetest when most tender,
Shining bright red that sparkles in sunlight.
They are compared to one of great splendor,
And beauty who is a radiant sight.

This fruit of passion is easily bruised
By those who put her down and toss her aside.
It does break my heart to see her misused;
Yet, her happiness will not be denied.

Beautiful Strawberry who warms my heart,
You have greatly enriched my life within.
Soon, the love inside your soul will restart,
And you will feel beautiful once again.

It's your happiness that will make you shine,
And your beauty I will always enshrine.

Reason for writing:

    The inspriation for this is, once again, Strawberry (T.N.) She has done so much in my life than she can realize (maybe in a future poem she will know) So, here is a Shakespearian sonnet for her.
