Bitter, like a sour lemon. Bitter, us overworked women. Bitter and tired, of lazy husbands, ungrateful children, lack of free time, But no one hears me. Tired of wrinkles, creasing my face, tired of thinking of the young woman, who has taken my place (in my man's heart), tired of doing laundry, until dark. Bitter, like a diced lemon, bitter, us tired old women. Not assertive, or demanding, self esteem too low, to be commanding, or make a statement, with rollers in my hair, Speak up. I wouldn't dare, go after mine, just bitter, like an ol' lime. Bitter, like a lemon, us tired, wrinkled, young women. Broken in spirit, regretting we passed, our husband's auditions, so we live out our life, without ambitions.
Reason for writing:
Just writing without thinking. I am not married, just thinking about the tired, miserable women I talk to who are.
(There are plenty happily married women out there though, don't get me wrong)
