sleepy time

by Worthless Vagabond - Leo

In the beginning I pondered breathing and did so.
In the beginning I thought it was quite bright.
So please mommy dim the light.

In the early years I feared the dark.
I had a little clown whose nose would glow.
Me and that clown would stare each other down.
He would always win.

Now I am all grown up.
I am still scared of the dark.
What monsters lurk there?
The dreams of demons keep me awake.
Oh please make them go away for gods sake.

Sleepy time

The whispers in the dark I still fear.
I feel the hand run down my back.
I dream of being eaten by wolves in a pack.

Sleepy time.

I hate the dark
I hate sleeping.
All the time I hear things creeping.

I lay there until the day light comes then I jump from bed
and run out the door. Carefully dodging the toys on the floor.
A shadow, it moves. The door it creaks.I let out a shriek.I lay in a ball and cry.
I wait for the the devil to come and take away this life of mine.

sleepy time
