You were older than me, sometimes like a father. You were smarter than me, sometimes like a teacher. You were funnier than me, sometimes an entertainer. You were wiser than me, sometimes a problem-solver. You were more quick witted than me, sometimes a real joker. You were more caring than me, at times like a doctor. You were more loving than me, and ALWAYS my friend. I miss you.
Reason for writing:
This is dedicated to the memory of my brother and best friend, Joseph C. Martin. He died of lung cancer on March 15, 1986 at the age of 51. I loved him with all my heart.
Don't smoke, it's just not worth it. If you can't stop for yourself, stop for someone who loves you.
