I'd like to touch a fallen star, One that still glows bright, As it lays upon the ground Grasping fading light. And as it shines it's last I'd watch it fade away. Then I would go home and look Into the midnight sky. I'd look at all the other stars Who still have yet to pass, Thinking of how that one star Lied upon the grass.
Reason for writing:
It's about being afraid, and sometimes when I think about moving away from home or going to college, it scares me. I was thinking about that when I wrote this, it gives me courage to think about my dreams and that someday I'll realize them. That's why I wrote this, so whenever I'm afraid, or I think I can't make it, I think of this and it makes me feel better.
