Come to mommy, my infant son, It's time for you to eat, Play with you, give you a bath, Before you drift off back to sleep. Come to mommy, my school-age son, It's time for your homework, right? Don't forget to brush your teeth, Then I'll tuck you in for the night. Come to mom, my teen-age son, Sit down and talk to me.... Is there anything you'd like to discuss, Before out the door you flee? Come see mother, my adult son, With a family of your own, There's not much left I can do for you, As I realize how time has flown.
