I Call It Home. . .

by slm - Libra

I wish I knew the words to express what things I now can see
The way Your love has changed my life to bring out the best in me
There is such love within these walls, I feel it when I am here
And when someone needs a helping hand, we circle and draw near

So many gather in this place, all so different, including me
It doesn't matter who we are, when we bow and pray to Thee
Some have stature and some have none, in here we're all the same
We come to love each other and find comfort from life's pain

Many burdens cloud our minds, yet we remember why we're here
We pray for one another and in Your presence draw so near
We praise You as we worship, we all join hands on the final song
We welcome all who enter, the heavenly home for which we long

There is such love within these walls, I feel it when I am here
And when someone needs a helping hand, we circle and draw near
The love we share within our hearts, we found before Your throne
For a time I was a stranger here, but now, I call it home

Reason for writing:

To my brothers and sisters at my church home. The best place this side of heaven. I love you all at Mars Hill!
