A WALK WITHIN: for Lind

by NOVELO - Aquarius

A WALK WITHIN: for LINDSAY

The crescent moon lit the footpath that paused along the rill border
I ventured onward along the salient trail deeper into the bosk
From a distance I perceive the vibrations of the sovereign feral
But felt no trepidation as I sauntered in sanctuary within my naiveté
The pathway opened into a saffron tillage of newborn Indian corn
Ventured cross stirring abreast the stand like a patron in a bustling market

I came upon the apex of the globe where the brine ended at seaside.
The water was sapphire effulgent, the vast combers hammered the strand
Sea birds plunged the whitecaps for comestible piecemeal within combers
Forlorn starfish cluttered the granular silica with poised serenity
Driftwood fabricated parable signposts of escapades to be seized willingly
Luminescence beams off the surf, flung scintillate luster on brawn veneer.
I repose a twinkling and consumed the apparitions of the enticing eventide

Rejuvenated and spry, I paraded upon the embarcadero to the thorp
Where illuminated windows summon crestfallen individuals alfresco
To consort with glad tidings, genial fires and meritorious interludes
I descended to slumber in a colossal bunk of reverie, hitherto thus matins.

Reason for writing:

my poetic friend Lind from across the lake
stirred me with her poems to set me about
to combined letters to paper
