Anyone could see it clearly, how very much, I loved her dearly, I remember the admiration, "I looked up to you. I guess it's a shame, you couldn't love me too. . ." She left me chafe, naked and exposed to the cruel, cruel world, how could you do this, to your own little girl? I remember wearing her heels, painting on her lipstick, but before I could grow, she was gone in an instant, Exposing me to, this cruel cruel world, How could you do this, to your own little girl? Haunted like prey, by the hungry streets, while she sailed the world, without a thought of me. Exposing her child, to this cruel, cold world. How could you do this, to your own little girl? No shadow before me, I guess the infinite void, will never allow me to fill her empty shoes, That's how I got em', Mama Drama Blues. . .
