To a Friend

by PAL - Libra

As cool autumn bares
   the aspen and the sycamores
   coloring the glen
The solitary hawk that soars
   above the peppered ground
   plays in fluctuating wind
Conducting waving gossamer
while prey duck in the den

This interim of airs
   of silence careless time explores
   refects to distant friend
There is no care as true as yours
   that I have ever found
   every prayer received you send
For me, a cup where your love pours
   my thurst will never end

Reason for writing:

The scene and thoughts were simultaneuos. So true and timeless.
