Lead Us to Paradise

by PAL - Libra

At the gathering of pharisees
Where Jesus Christ was tried
Pilot washed his hands and said
He did no crime to die
But an angry crowd was shouting out
Let him be crucified
And a crown of thorns and wooden cross
Would lead him to Paradise
Lead him to Paradise

When the sun was dimmed on Calvary
As darkness filled the sky
In the last breath from the Son of Man
Oh, Father he did cry
Unto you I give my spirit
Let this body die
Forgive them all for what they've done
And lead me to Paradise
Lead me to Paradise

After lifting up the fallen souls
When the third sun found the sky
He left the tomb that Joseph choose
Revealed in new light
Fullfilling all the prophecies
And ending all the lies
The resurrection of our souls
Will lead us to Paradise
Lead us to Paradise

Two thousand years have passed us by
Kingdoms born and died
But the light that rose at Calvary
Still leads us to Paradise
Leads us to Paradise
