Prison Walls

by Vashita Aldridge - Cancer

" Prison Walls "

I know not when the sun rises or when the night falls,
one see's nothing of nature, behind these prison walls.

No more picnics in the park, no more walks in the rain,
only dreams in the night that I'm the next to be slain.

This is where I live and this is where I'll die,
behind these prison walls is where my soul will lie.
