I was broke I needed cash Too damn lazy to work I had nothing to sell Or so I thought I got to thinking And remembered the story Of the baby being sold On E-Bay I came to the conclusion That the only thing of value I had Was my soul I sat with a calculator and figured With all the dismay in my life My soul was worth around $1.27 I ran to my computer And quickly typed www.ebay.com into my browser And quickly set my soul for sale I left my computer and went to bed I got up to find That the bids for my soul Had risen five hundred-fold the starting price The auction quickly ended And someone by the name Of DeViL666 had offered $666.66 for it I quickly typed up an e-mail to him And found his e-mail address Could not be found I screamed And awoke from the dream Just in time to see the auction close With no bidders I had forgotten I already gave my soul For a quarter in the lunch line...
Reason for writing:
Came up with the title and went from there. Was meant to be a funny poem but turned out to be more of a story instead. Owell.
