Down to the Wire, Again

by J and J - Cancer

learn from the book
they said, over and over again
half wit drones of a half witted society,
learn the equation, the grammar, learn these words
expressively expressing nothing,
and i learned, i did i confess, i did,
but the satisfaction of erudition fades
like a sunset over a landfill
when the suns gone, ain't nothing but garbage left!

so soon i set out, so soon,
a new world, a bright road ahead
a road not traveled by me, yet,
the giant footsteps before me have faded
descartes is no more than a nightmare,
i ready to learn from the world.

tis not the time to tarry, you half baked idiots
not the time to cloth yourselves in the armor of ignorant philosophy
the wretchedness of knowing how to break down the calculus language
no,
not
never.
now, i go and throw
now, i know and grow
now, i cast off like a leaf in the wind
and go wherever the greatness of earth
pleases me to go.

asaalam!
