I awake My eyes open I see nothing I blink Something comes in view Endless grain is all I see I feel something in my hand I carefully rise it to my face A black rose A tear stained picture of my family lie in the other Where am I? Enclosed in a mahogany prison I fight to push it open It slightly opens Dirt falls through the crack A muffled scream exits my bloody lips I fight and struggle to exit To no prevail Exhausted, I stop and rest A small bug Crawling toward my hand Catches my eye I watch Motionless As death itself Walks through my hand And seals my fate. Dead.
