Inhale... Exhale...

by Bronwen - Virgo

Inhale... You’re holding me gently
as we lie on the couch.
Exhale...		   The room is dark;
                        the television is glowing.
Inhale... I feel very small and warm.
Your hot cheek rests on my forehead,
Exhale... and it feels so good to be held--
to be touched by another human being.
Inhale... I wonder if I should tell you
                        what I’m thinking.
Exhale... But the hum of the television
                        makes me close my eyes,
Inhale... and I’m drowsing in your arms.
                        And I feel very safe.
Exhale... I want to curl right into your warm body
                        and never wake up,
Inhale... my heart beating when yours beats.
                        I want
Exhale... to breath you into me...

Inhale... Inhale...

Exhale... Exhale...

Inhale... And relive that feeling ‘till I die.
I picture you with me in your arms,
Exhale... the curve of my tiny back
                        against your chest,
Inhale... your hot cheek resting on my forehead.
And it feels so good to be held.
Exhale... To be touched
   		         by another human being.
"I love you." "I love you, too."

Reason for writing:

Never happened to me. But... whoo, boy... it would be nice if it ever did. Hehe.
