Forever Green

by Jared Stipelman - Virgo

Theirs something about eyes,
They cannot tell lies,
Strife, passion, faith and more,
Stand defiant and true to their very core,

But something is different in your verdant stare,
Something I’ve not seen anywhere,
For so long as you adore me,
So long as you’re my amore,

I see the future unfold,
As seen in your soul,
Tempered by love,
A view from above,

Shows time to no end.
And it portends,
Nothing malign,
For so long as you are mine,

Eternity’s ways are ways of pleasantness,
All roads lead to happiness
For no matter what I have seen,
When I’m with you its all serene,

Reason for writing:

The most arresting eyes I have ever seen. Time does seem to slow to a halt when you look into them
