think before you act

by Jada Andrews - Capricorn

how can they be so blind
how can they just not see
what they're doing
and how it's affecting
both her and me
There they stand
covering each others eyes
kissing each others mouths closed
so they can't try to explain,
and we stand here, wearing
our hearts on our sleeves
as they reach out to us
and never notice the blood red
scars they leave on our bodies
wherever they touch us.

Reason for writing:

A boy who has my heart, whether he wants it or not, and his choice of
my friend over me. Another friend who I'm close to who likes the friend
the boy chose. A situation that I'd rather not have to be in, but am no
longer given much of a choice. The rest speaks for itself in the poem.
