A Child Given Up How can you blame it just on him You were there when the lights were dim He always really loved you And thought you loved him too Sure what happened was a mistake But not just one that he would make This life that was planted deep inside You tried your best to hide You may not have wanted it But he wasn't ready to quit You chose to go and take care of this It was you who ruined his last wish How can you ever be forgiven When his child could be livin Instead of leaving him alone and sad You could've made him the perfect dad Now there are only memories to hold And lots of feelings left untold Giving up this child was unfair But that never stopped us from its care.
