Leave me alone Take me away from here Get me back to my heaven Back home to happiness; I’ve got a one way road and it’s destined to change; Give me the faith to keep on moving, Show me the light that shows the way, Unlock my door to a wilderness of eternal thought, And shed the blood that had grown old; Free me from all depression, And unlock these chains around me; I’ve grown wings despite the spider’s web, I’ve learned beauty despite the thorns, I’ve learned to go on despite the pain, I’ve survived.
Reason for writing:
Last month I went through a depression after hearing that my mother might be leaving my dad and that my dad has admitted to being an alcoholic. But through it all, and all that I have been through throughout my life, someone sat me down and knocked me hard with how life would be without me here and I just had to think- maybe life isn't so bad afterall. Maybe things will get better eventually. I've survived so far so if I could survive all that, I can handle anything.
