Revelations of Glory

by Demon-X, - Cancer

Trapped in a trance of transitions
dormant illusions
and sky filled confusions
my mentality is fired by my spirituality
in this hypnotic reality with no actuality
I'm reminded of such times
when I used to bust some rhymes
and ruled all studios
from Ensenada to Philly
down to Orlando
back to San Diego
just pop lockin'
free flowin'freestylin'
from first place to first place
and so on and so fourth
you get the picture
I just never stopped
I just never quit
there was never no way
I could be stripped of my titles
from battles of triumph and victory
dethroning Global Champions
with mounting piles of credibility
the dedication of my training ensuring my stability
I never saw myself as a memory
a vision from the past

How did I never see the realm of my demise
with scandalous results arise?
How did I not see the demons of backstabs
and evil low jabs come before my path?
Was I too comfortable at my high level?
Was I too into the volume, bass, and treble?
How did I not see that damn Medusa suck all my power
like the vampire she was?
En la Madre
You can never expect
to feel the shock rock all around the clock

But as time passes
you know wounds heel
strategies become meals
and you find yourself learning from the real
only to bounce back like a true soldier
going with what you feel
the charging metamorphosis
inspired by a vindictiveness
returning with the quickness
to reclaim what your hard earned work
had from the beginning

Call me a man of renaissance
rising from the ashes
through the fire
I am the tamed dragon
with the power of self-control
and total as well
like LL
watch me rock the bells
my ingenuity is engineered to last eternally
with the skills to flow verbally
the moves to get down and dirty
In tact
I take pride in my legacy
Untouched by all enemies
even those who tried to set me back

Reason for writing:

a vision from the dream world based on a reality.
