A day in the of an Airforce Pilot.

by Jared Stipelman - Virgo

You aimed high,
And then you missed,
And paid the price,
My heart is breaking,
Your worlds-apart gone away,
I can’t hold on,
Fools gold and,
Illusions,
Plague my mind,
Unstable,
Unable to control myself,
A feeling,
Of emptiness,
Pervades my heart and soul,
You’ve left the world,
I’d taken you for granted till today,
I just wish that I could say goodbye,
I can no longer live this lie,
Its time to recoup and go,
But I’m still hanging on by a thread,
Please just don’t seriously be dead,
But I know deep inside,
That hopes,
Will only lead to heartbreak,
Cameras don’t lie,
They see whats been done,
So all I ask,
Is that in your place in the sun,
Please just remember me,
Ill always be here,
A world away,

Reason for writing:

My idol just joined the Air Force and on his 3rd flight his plane ran out of fuel and crashed. Hes dead now, and this may be the worst I have ever felt.
