I carve my heart out of my chest
slowly,
and watch as it bleeds those
bitter red tears
sweet, sweet crimson
flows like wine to parched lips
broken because of all the pain caused
and who it's been for
for their happiness
for their joy
for their one chance
(i hope they're happy, or i did it for nothing)
The blood finally slows
leaving one heart-shaped
perfect scar on the outside
(it only begins to show what is on the inside)
