Among the yelling and screaming, the spotlights on him Everyone's watching as he moves from corner to corner front to back Then all goes quiet his face becomes stony as he screams "To Hell with all of you!" He collapses on the ground, breathing his last breath He points a finger and then goes limp The people crowd around him Some cry While others point and laugh His skin is clammy, if feels cold and his face, is one no one will soon forget
Reason for writing:
I wrote this my freshman year in 1999 for English class. It is about the Columbine shooting and how everyone in my school acted about it. I felt frustrated and decided to vent my anger through poetry. Thus began my new love.
