I stand alone surrounded by the sea, Yet I have stood for way too long a time. I cry as I remember home so far. I wish upon a silent crystal star. The waves are nothing but a tort’rous rhyme, Reminding me of places I should be. No longer is the Ocean’s blue a treat, Nor is the Island’s wild tropic heat. There is no way from here I could escape. The ocean’s made of dreadful liquid bars, And though I know the key to make them break, I also know the task my limbs can’t take. And so another day upon the sand. Like this I’m sure my life will always be. I’ll never touch another human hand. My soul will be forgotten in the sea.
