Waiting for her night and Day Not knowing at all just what to say Just fearing her death might have come He picks up his bango and begins to srum Then in the distance he sees red hair And rushes to the form without a care He sees her blue eyes and ruby red lips And like a fool he stumbles and trips She began to tell of how she was blamed For being a witch cause lions shed tamed She told of how she had escaped And how her mouth and hands were taped He then knew that she would die And without her at night he could not lie he then rushed her to a secret place And with every sound his heart would race Years had passed her face was forgotten The fields were harvested there was no cotton He walked into town to hear of the talk And heard nothing of a wish being stalked He headed back to her only to find Her body laying liflessly near a gold mind He screamed and he hollared with sorrow in his heart And promised he and Charlotte would never be apart He took out his sword for himself he would slay So by Charlotte his love his body would lay
