Falling Away

by Bert Ji - Capricorn

Once a brave gentleman,
And now a soul,
His body in the humid grave,
Just another falling in the hole,
The deep dark endless pit.

Once a proud rich man,
And now, not forgiven,
As the soil of sin buries him,
Just another insignificant creature,
And now he seeks the light,

Too late for such a man,
To regret his sins,
Now that he is in,
He can never go back.
