I know we've never met, But I feel as if I've known you my whole life. You're not like anyone I've ever met. You're always nice, no matter how mean I get. You're there to comfort me, When I throw a fit. I've never seen your face, But it doesn't matter one bit. Your voice sounds like an angel, Sent from above. Your soft side always gets to you, When anyone gets blue. You could be my soulmaate, But this I'll never know, Unless someday, somewhere, We work up the courage to finally meet. For I know that looks, Mean a great deal. What if I'm not pretty enough? Too tall?? Too thin?? I wish that humans didn't dwell, On what someone looks like. For we've all been told, That looks can be decieving. So when we finally meet, Please look beneath the surface, To what's underneath. In return, I'll do the same, But please remember that I'm very nervous About what you'll think. So I'll leave you with this one thing to remember: "Beauty is only skin deep."
