A love letter… You are a thousand miles away dearest, But I write to you as if you were here next to me… And I am speaking to you… As I look in your eyes and tell you all the things… About you that I hold dear to my heart… It is the way your lips slant as you smile… Or the way they quiver when you are sad… The darkness of your beautiful eyes… Or the way they glisten with your tears… All these things I hold close and cherish… You are the source of my heart’s joy and… The cause of its despair… I can not articulate the longing it feels… Or describe the hurt it nurtures that never heals… And the pain it has because you are so far…. I cry each morning that I do not wake up to you… Die each minute I am not with you… I envy the people that see you everyday… Those that talk to you and are able to say… They love you or miss you at any time they wish… Thoughts of you bring a spring to my walk… The notion of seeing you again soothes my tiring day… Memories of your arms around me warm my nights alone… Knowing that I shall hear your voice again helps me sustain… That maybe you think of me makes everything worthwhile… I think you are fast becoming my every thought and every move… And rapidly causing my heart’s demise and doom… Do you know that no one will ever think of you as much… Or hold you close but never hold you back… No one else will, at least I hope not… I love you.
