Garnish

by Magnus Alexander - Gemini

Garnish

Garnish yourself with lies
Honey attracts more flies
Vinegar’s the blood I seek
Cull the strong from the weak

Hatred—the last laugh in unison
Pain—today your blood will run
Disease—afflicts you, will bury you down
War—so your savior can wear his crown

Hollywood heaven, heart of shit
Masculine symmetry, substandard wit
Falsified claims of demonic possession
Government watchdog has learned its lesson

Distaste—the way you hold me tight
Hope—is dead, fade into the night
Love—a lie we tell our children
Future—a path destroyed for countless generations
