Though I have not
Yet done anything wrong
I just want to say it
Before I do
I am sorry if I flinch
When you raise your hand
To fix your hair 
When you are 
Standing close to me
I am sorry if I cry
And huddle in a ball
When you get upset 
And voices begin to rise
I am sorry if I offend you
When I do these little things
But they have come from habit
Once you are hit
You can never be the same
So I hope you can forgive me
I promise that I will try
To learn to trust you
Even now I know 
That your touch 
Could never be used 
To cause me pain
So please do forgive me
When I flinch
When I cry
When I offend you
It just brings back 
Very bad memories
Of being hit again and again
So please do forgive me
