it was about twilight
when my vision became blurred
casting thoughts long since forgotten
seldom spoken much less heard
~i froze mumbling words clear~
"breath of the longest depth,
is all i can give thee
for the heart hardened long ago
yet this breath ,
deeper then any could know
is my greatest possession
and the one i shall bestow...
unto thee
who holds the sun at night
bound to dreams of eternal light
every breath a prayer
onto your heavenly form
your courage to drive
willingness to love
and strength to survive
every breath a prayer
unto thee."
it was about dawn
when my voice did die
faint in the mist
whispers of good-bye...
