when i say goodbye...i hope you understand that i never want to leave you. but i must. i never want to go away. but i will. i don't want you to watch me walk away. but i'll never walk too far. i'll always be just around the next sunrise. i'll always be waiting for you wherever you go. when we take that last look at one another, it'll bring happiness into our hearts because its real. when i say goodbye...i want you to smile because we are. because of the beauty we found inside. it may not be forever, but at least it was. even if only for the moment. i want you to find the small gifts that life has given us. i want you to remember the little things we pass by every day. i want you to hold onto yourself like i would hold you. if you ever miss me, remember the way you made me smile when we were together. if you ever feel like calling me, listen to the way we used to sing in silence when life was too much. if you ever want to be with me, look to the sky and watch as the sun gathers its power from deep inside and shares it with the world. watch as life grows from out of the space. listen as the creatures walk and fly and scurry about. look at how the sun sees us. we are creatures who love the life we have. we have the sun and the moon. we have each other. we have the stars and the oceans. we have time and memories. we have our hearts and we have life. i am there, baby. look at the sky and find me there. in your heart. i'll never leave you...if you remember that.
