night moves

by devon vega - Taurus

through the sky i pass like a butterfly's shadow on the arm
of night. he knows me like the creature that hurts when pain
does not exist. you have beauty as your name and love is your
nature. i love you. this heart would freeze into eternity if
it wasn't for you. i would gaze out into the night and wonder
why my existence haunts me. but i would ponder it shortly
before i found my release in lines of painlessness. a slow
drift towards the heavens. where are the moments that we share
when i want to free myself from misery and despair? i wish i
could banish this emptiness that is feeding of my desire. i
wish i could jump back into our times together and stay there
for forever. but, i don't fear the future. it will be as it
will. i can only follow the trail that i have laid down and
accept the odds as they expose themselves to me from where
they are.

when next we meet i will be asleep. my eyes will be shut
fast. my heart will sing to you. and we will dance. forever
until the end.
