Life

by Marcia Harris - Cancer

Life is a temple which is sometimes taken for granted
like a wilted red rose long time planted.
We need to surpass and begin to grow
to allow our hopes and dreams to flow.

We were put here to make the most
of all opportunities and not to boast.
With more love and peace within
there would be less greed, hate or sin.

To be in love is like a lily white dove soaring high
within the breeze of the southern blue sky.
To be at peace is like a blooming sunflower
which opens it heart every hour.

If we learn to love our pears
we may begin to confront our fears.
Always love as apose to hate
and your heart may live to a longer date.

Reason for writing:

After a friend of mine past away at a young age it made me realise how precious life is.
