what did i do to feel this? is life not something to be cherished and enjoyed. could there be a place for me in your future. where i belong...there, at your side. shower me in diamonds, streaming from your heart. no one has ever said that:i love you. how long did i wait to hear you brush the air with color as those words flew through time and space...to find me, here, waiting to be loved. i captured your emotions and made them a part of me. i looked on them and followed them wherever they may lead. i learned of myself by being with you. that was who i was...who i was supposed to be. here for you. with you. this was my life exploding into a flower in bloom. loving you, my sunshine, as you wandered into my life. i saw the world become a place of splendour as we danced together...you in the sky, sending the message of love. and me, i stood on this earth and watched you...gazed at your brilliance. absorbing your beauty. growing so that i may reach you. touch you. be with you. in your light i found the strength to survive. i found the power of your illumination to be the only love i needed. you cared for me. you always come back. time after time. regardless of what i did wrong. you even moved the waters and brought them to me in rain. the clouds covered you from view, but i knew you were still there. i could feel your warmth spanning the vast distances between us. i could hear your lovely song echoing in me. it was my lovesong to you. the song of life. of ages. of beauty. of you.
